Starring legendary DJ Matt Pinfield, Paul Devlin’s first documentary, Rockin’ Brunswick, was shot near his hometown in New Brunswick, New Jersey, and edited while he was still a student at the University of Michigan.
Coining the term “Rockumentary” even before Spinal Tap, Devlin captures a thriving ’80’s New Jersey music scene bursting with youthful energy and talent. Featuring interviews and performances by Crossfire Choir, The Blasés, The Groceries, Jigs and the Pigs, D.P. and the Greys, The Nullset, The Deed and Rockin’ Bricks.
Also featured is Loaded Poets (formerly The Deal), led by Jim Wood, subject of another of Devlin’s music-based films, The Front Man.
