"At first, I was skeptical: former world No. 5 tennis champion Daniela Hantuchova playing golf with other tennis stars—would it be interesting? 

A tennis enthusiast quickly reassured me, and they were right. Daniela has a natural ability to get her fellow athletes to open up about their careers and themselves. The golf course proved to be an ideal setting for long, reflective conversations interspersed with playful competition. 

My job as editor was to sift through hours of material, then idenfity and highlight the most compelling moments. I used my own taste as a guide - I became most interested when athletes reflected honestly on their own potential or compared what it takes to excel in tennis and golf. 

Along the way, I also learned far more about these tennis stars than what makes it into the series—sometimes the most insightful moments happen when they forget the mic is on!
