Paul was brought in as the “fixer” on this music video: 

"Apparently this video had already passed through several editors by the time it reached me at the boutique Manhattan post-house, Chromavision. Treach, of Naughty by Nature, was still unhappy with the cut. The director was nowhere to be seen and and a record company representative was managing the session. 

For me the issue became clear immediately: the video was over-cut. Fast cuts can create energy, but too many disrupted the flow and diminished key moments. My approach was to remove unnecessary edits, allowing evocative shots—like Treach moving in and out of shadows—to breathe. 

Treach sat on the couch in the back of the edit suite, with his girlfriend Pepa (from Salt-n-Pepa) next to him. As the edit progressed, he would comment and approve via the representative, but never spoke to me directly. 

At the the end of the session though, after everyone had left, he surpised me by givng me a big hug and thanking me. The improved version aired shortly after on MTV, confirming the fix was a success."
